I'm an Ofsted registered childminder - offering childcare in a loving and caring environment from my house in Queen's park. I've worked with all ages of children as a childminder, nanny and in a nursery setting. I'm actively involved in the local childminders network, I help run three drop-ins which we set up and plan activities weekly.

In my setting I use my living room, kitchen and garden, I have a variety of indoor and outdoor toys, plus art and craft resources. I attend to safety measures, prepare children's meals and provide healthy snacks. I encourage appropriate rest/sleep during the day and comfort children in times of stress or upset. I plan and set out activities and make sure there is appropriate play space for free play. I'm actively involved in play, reading books, singing nursery rhymes, role play, helping with artwork, encouraging children to play & run around in the local parks, helping children on climbing equipment.

Ofsted inspected June 2011 - The overall effectiveness of my practise is good, with outstanding in enjoying and achieving, and developing skills for the future. CRB checked. NSPCC Safeguarding; First Aid; Makaton; Level 2 in safety in catering; Every Child a Talker Programme; A two year course developing children's language and communication skills; Training in letters and sounds; using resources to support language; songs and storytelling.
