ARK King Solomon Academy (Westminster)

King Solomon Academy became an all-through school based across two sites, when King Solomon Academy and Ark Paddington Green Primary Academy merged. Nursery to Year 4 pupils are at the site where Ark Paddington Green Primary School was based, on Crompton Street. This is also called the Younger Years Site. Pupils in Year 5 to Year 13 are at the site on Penfold Street, which is also called the Older Years Site. King Solomon Academy offers an academic all through education. For pupils admitted into King Solomon Academy in September 2020, they are guaranteed a place all the way through to Sixth Form. No new admission is made for the Secondary phase of King Solomon, transfer to older years at the school is automatic.

Nursery provision

The school offers nursery provision. Funded places available for eligible children.

This setting is registered to accept the Early Education and Childcare funded hours for:

• 15 hours 2 year olds (low-income)

• 15 hours 2 year olds (working families)

• 15 hours 3 & 4 year olds (all children)

• 30 hours 3 & 4 year olds (working families)

Wraparound childcare / clubs information:

Breakfast club: Yes

Breakfast club runs from 7:45am at both sites for pupils from Nursery to Year 11. It is run by KSA staff. Places are available for £30 per half term (about £1 per session), payable in advance and are free for pupils on free school meals.

Alongside a nutritious breakfast of healthy cereals, fruit and toast, pupils will also be able to do a range of activities, including arts and crafts.

After school club: Yes

After School Care provision is based at YYS and staffed by KSA staff. Places are available for children from Nursery to Year 6. Year 5s and Year 6s are walked over to YYS by a member of OYS staff.
