Wigmore Hall is one of the world’s great concert halls. It specialises in chamber and instrumental music, early music and song.
The venue is putting on a series of concerts specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more informal performance environment. This includes individuals with autism, sensory and communication impairments, and learning disabilities.
Thursday 21 February 2019 (11am-12 noon) - Soprano Soraya Mafi explores repertoire linked to our festival theme: Sense of Home
Saturday 15 June 2019 (11am - 12 noon) - The dynamic Bloomsbury String Quartet perform selections of their favourite repertoire
What to Expect:
- There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and audience members are welcome to move in and out of the auditorium as they wish.
- The house lights will stay up throughout the performance.
- The musicians will introduce their pieces.
- There is a quiet space in the Bechstein Room downstairs.
